Outcome

Scope

Users: 600 relationship managers in Private Wealth. Team: 4, working with design, engineering, QA and the MIS and Equity Research data teams. What I owned: the RM dashboard work: the reports page, client alerts, onboarding status and the Sales Enablement Toolkit beta.

Problem

  • 600 relationship managers depended on Operations for valuation reports and statements.

  • The one-view platform's own reports lacked customisation. The transaction statement, for example, was only available at family level.

  • Relationship managers couldn't see where a client was stuck in onboarding, which delayed activation.

  • There was no single tool for managing clients and the assets they hold, which made it harder to track performance and act in time.

Insight

  • The relationship manager is the product's main user and its distribution. Every minute spent chasing a report is a minute not spent with a client.

  • Pull beats push. If reports and alerts sit where relationship managers already work, they don't need to ask anyone.

Options and tradeoffs

  • Keep routing requests to Operations. No build, but slow, and it depends on operations capacity.

  • Rely on the one-view platform's reports. No build, but no folio-wise or investor-wise cuts.

  • Build a reports page and alerts into the relationship-manager dashboard, with the one-view platform embedded. This is what we shipped. The cost is more surface to maintain. Reports-page speed work was still underway at the May review.

  • Beta before a full release. The toolkit went to a limited set of relationship managers first, and two interface issues were fixed before the wider rollout.

What I did

  • I added a reports page to the dashboard, with folio-wise and investor-wise filters.

  • I enabled client alerts for relationship managers, released on 12 February 2026.

  • I integrated the one-view platform into the relationship-manager dashboard.

  • I shipped onboarding status on the dashboard. A step-level view of each client's activation, plus management of secondary investors.

  • I signed off the Sales Enablement Toolkit beta. Holdings broken out by asset, product and holding pattern, plus alerts, quick actions, and target versus performance.

Outcome

  • More than 40 valuation reports were downloaded every day since release.

  • Onboarding status reached 45% daily use among relationship managers.

  • At that review, most of the Advisor Productivity pillar was marked complete. That is a delivery status, not a usage result.

  • What's still open. Client-alert adoption wasn't known at the February review, and there is no later figure in the sources. The toolkit has no post-launch metric in the sources either.

What I learned

  • Time in the dashboard is only a proxy. The better measure is fewer report requests to operations, and faster action for the client.

  • Report how often an alert leads to an action, once there is enough data.
